The Argentina international emerged as a target for Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds, who have just earned promotion to the Premier League.

It would have to be over €30m to take De Paul away from the Dacia Arena, as he only recently extended his contract to June 2024.

According to Calciomercato.it and the Messaggero Veneto newspaper, De Paul is unconvinced by the Leeds option.

There has been some interest from Juventus and he wants to hold out in case that materialises into a full-blown offer.

New coach Andrea Pirlo is known to admire De Paul and his tactical versatility could make him a valuable asset for the Bianconeri.

He also has a sponsor within the squad, because De Paul went on vacation this summer with his fellow Argentina international Paulo Dybala.
