Defender Sebastian De Maio is reportedly a step away from signing a new and improved contract with Genoa.
The 27-year-old, who signed for the Grifone a year ago from Brescia, currently has a deal in place until June 2017.
Reports since the summer were of negotiations between the parties on a renewal and today Gianluca Di Marzio’s website is reporting that those are ‘practically concluded’.

It is believed that De Maio will sign a deal to extend his stay at Marassi, whilst there will also be a slight economic adjustment up to a pre-tax salary of €1m.
