The San Paolo club competed in the Champions League and won the Coppa Italia this year, and the owner has admitted that it has been a superb 12 months.
“We leave behind a lavish 2012,” he told the club's official website. “In terms of results it has been a satisfactory year, culminating in the splendid Coppa Italia victory.
“It has been a year that should not be obscured by the defeat yesterday [at home to Bologna].
“I wish everyone a merry Christmas and hope 2013 gives even more joy to our fans.”
