Former Juventus striker Michele Padovano believes that Didier Drogba would be the perfect signing for Antonio Conte's side.

The 46-year-old who played for the Bianconeri between 1995 and 1997 has claimed that the former Chelsea man would be ideal addition to the Turin giants, but has criticised the signing of Nicklas Bendtner last summer.

“Drogba could be the right name for Juve to make the next step,” he told Radio Audax. “Even with the African Cup of Nations in the New Year he would be perfect.

“The forward position is a department in which something is missing. Purchasing Bendtner is something that, personally, I did not understand.

“But I'm sure the club had their reasons. With the club getting into the next round of the Champions League some movement in the market will have to happen.”
