Charles De Ketelaere is reportedly prepared to take a pay cut in order to push through his transfer from Club Brugge to Milan.

The creative midfielder has wanted this move for weeks and has been waiting for the clubs to agree terms.

The Rossoneri are now closer than ever, having offered €31m plus €4m in bonuses to reach the €35m asking price.

According to Sky Sport Italia, De Ketelaere has taken steps to help them reach an agreement by accepting a pay cut to make it go through.

It seems this would be outstanding wages still to be paid by Club Brugge rather than the contract he will sign at San Siro.

Meanwhile, De Ketelaere was not taking part in training with the Belgian side today, having already asked to be left out of their opening Jupiler League game of the season.

The two clubs seem to have set a deadline of Sunday to either agree terms or give up on the 21-year-old.
