Nigel De Jong expects new signings Kaka and Alessandro Matri to quickly find their feet at Milan.

The two forward players, signed from Real Madrid and Juventus respectively, were late summer additions to the Diavolo squad.

“It is easy for any player to fit into this squad because everybody knows their role here,” the 28-year-old told Milan Channel.

“Kaka and Matri both need to find a bit of match fitness, but they are working hard in training.

“We are strong as a team, it is just a shame that we have a few injuries at this point of the season. But they will soon be back.

“The team is in good shape and we are going for the win at Torino on Saturday.”

The Dutchman, who missed most of last season after snapping his Achilles tendon, has started 2013-14 well – fuelling claims that he is one of the side’s new leaders.

“It’s hard to say whether I am or not,” he responded. “To be honest, that is something for my teammates to comment on.

“Perhaps there is more than one in this squad…”
