Ex-Parma player Paolo De Ceglie said his return to Juventus was “like coming home. This club is unique.”

The versatile full-back was recalled early from his season-long loan at troubled Parma.

“It’s like coming home because I spent many years here, the best of my life,” he told the official Juventus website.

“It’s been a real pleasure to see everyone connected with Juve again. The attitude is still the same and the results confirm that. You always play to win and give 100 per cent until the very end.”

De Ceglie had several loan spells at Siena, Genoa and Parma, so has he changed since he last played in Turin?

“Of course my experience away from the club was very useful. I was able to play consistently, which I needed, and now I hope to get the opportunity to play here.”

It should also be noted that one of those experiences was Parma losing 7-0 to the Bianconeri earlier this season.

“Juve always strike fear into their opponents, so it’s nice to be on the other side of that! Juve is unique, so you miss everything about the club when you don’t have them anymore. It’s great to be back.”
