“I have always thought that football is essentially down to the players and their intelligence rather than systems, which is why I’m a little bit scared of Francesco Totti, Daniel Osvaldo, Daniele De Rossi and Erik Lamela.
“We must be wary, concentrated and give our all. It will require a good performance from everyone, but also a bit of luck.”
Immobile was expected to take a starring role, as he played under Zdenek Zeman at Pescara last season.
“Did I ask Immobile for advice on Zeman? That’s not necessary. I am a man of football, so I know both the ball and those who play it. I don’t generally ask my players for advice on their former Coaches.
“There are some doubts over Immobile, as he is suffering from flu and so Cristobal Jorquera could start instead. I have also not yet decided between Andreas Granqvist and Marco Sampirisi.”
