The Ducali began their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Udinese, having been 2-0 up, and 1-0 loss to impressive SPAL.

“Juventus have as their greatest strengths the possession play and mentality of their Coach. We must do well to remain compact and allow few spaces between the lines,” said Coach D’Aversa in his Press conference.

“Clearly it’s a difficult game, but nothing is impossible. We’ll try to play the perfect match and hope Juve have an off day.”

The Bianconeri are still waiting for Cristiano Ronaldo’s first Serie A goal after hard-fought wins over Chievo and Lazio.

“At this moment, there’s more talk about Ronaldo than the club. He’s one of the best players in the world, but let’s not forget Juve have champions in every area of the pitch and on the bench too.

“I met Massimiliano Allegri when I went to view his training sessions at Vinovo and the fact he doesn’t feel the need to hide his methods is a sign of how great he is. Allegri gives a sense of calm to the team and that was decisive last season in the race with Napoli.

“We must use this motivation and pride in facing prestigious opponents. In my career, the most decisive victories were earned when nobody expected them. Nothing is impossible in life.”

It is a return to the top flight for Parma, who went bankrupt in 2015 and registered three consecutive promotions to come back up from the amateur divisions.

“The crowd can push us on and the bond with our fans is fundamental this season. We know this is Serie A and we are penalised for the first error, as we could’ve easily had four points by now rather than one.”

Parma’s injury list remains extensive, with Alessandro Bastoni, Amato Ciciretti, Gianni Munari, Jonathan Biabiany and Matteo Scozzarella.

“We have to evaluate Alberto Grassi, who ended the SPAL game with cramp and a knock to the calf muscle. Mattia Sprocati is in the squad, but only had one training session with us, so can’t play. He’s here to make up the numbers.”

Parma squad for Juventus: Bagheria, Frattali, Sepe; Bruno Alves, Dimarco, Gagliolo, Gazzola, Gobbi, Iacoponi, Sierralta; Barillà, Deiola, Grassi, Rigoni, Stulac; Ceravolo, Da Cruz, Di Gaudio, Gervinho, Inglese, Sprocati
