Sampdoria coach Roberto D’Aversa said he has a ‘good feeling’ about the Blucerchiati group. ‘I’m seeing a good group of friends’.

The former Parma coach has replaced Claudio Ranieri at the Marassi ahead of 2021-22 and said the first impression has been good.

“I’m seeing a good group of friends as well as players, who are working hard to be a united group,” D’Aversa told Il Secolo XIX.

“It’s the basis of doing well on the pitch. It’s only the first few days, but it’s important to have a good feeling.”

Sampdoria finished ninth in Serie A last term and aim to confirm their position in the top half of the championship in 2021-22.
