Parma coach Roberto D’Aversa reveals Gervinho is pushing for a sale to Qatar Stars League side Al-Sadd. “He hasn’t showed up for training for the last three days.”
It’s been reported that a deal has been close between the clubs, and that the player had also requested to leave the Ducali after 18 months in Emilia-Romagna.
“As far as Gervinho is concerned, he is not amongst the players called up for the game because om the last three training sessions he hasn’t showed up,” said D’Aversa in his press conference.

“As far as Gervinho is concerned, he is not amongst the players called up for the game because om the last three training sessions he hasn’t showed up,” said D’Aversa in his press conference.
“Evidently he wanted to force the club to sell him. I state that he came four days ago to talk to me about the possibility of leaving and then to strike a deal with the club.
“I think the player has been sold. At the moment we know that the market is open until tonight.
“Gervinho has been an important player for us, but we have a group that allowed him to have the best season of his career.”
The Gialloblu signed striker Gianluca Caprari from Sampdoria, and D’Aversa says he may be used against Cagliari this weekend.
“Caprari will travel with the squad and be evaluated. Andrea Cornelius has finished training early due to a problem.”
This is a head-to-head for sixth place, as Cagliari are without a win in six rounds.
“The last month doesn’t cancel out the good things Cagliari have done. They have an amazing squad; despite the injuries they have found variations.
“Rolando Maran is a coach that is rarely talked about.”
Cagliari drew with Inter at San Siro on their last outing, and D’Aversa says they need to be wary of their stars.
“I think they have strong players in midfield. [Radja] Nainggolan, [Nahitan] Nandez, just to name a few. I expect an intense game, where determination will be put into play.
“Their stadium is a fortress, and we will have to be ready mentally. Nainggolan is a very important player for them.”
Luigi Sepe has been ruled out with for up to a month, so Ionut Radu was brought in on loan from Genoa, via Inter.
“Sepe has reached a great level of maturity this season, and should be in contention for the national team, considering his performances.
“He’s an important figure for us but he will be missing for a while. However I am confident and calm because Simone Colombi is here and he can play.”
