Marcus Thuram is expected in Milan on Tuesday for his medical tests, completing a free transfer to Inter.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the France international is due to fly in tomorrow morning, where he will then undergo the first part of his medical.

Only after those tests are completed will he sit down and sign the five-year contract that is worth circa €6.5m per season including bonuses and add-ons.

Thuram is a free agent, as his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach was allowed to run down and expires on June 30.

The son of former Parma and Juventus defender Lilian Thuram was born in Italy while his Dad was playing in Serie A, so has always been intrigued by the prospect of coming to this league.

He had seemed to be on the verge of agreeing terms with Milan, when Inter dived in with an improved proposal.

It revived the negotiations they had already had in January, when a move to the Nerazzurri was scuppered by injury.
