Darmian is the third Manchester United player to move to Serie A this month after Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter.
“They are strong players and I wish them all the best. I’m sure they will have a great season.”
Torino sold Darmian to Manchester United in the summer of 2015 for €18m, but he only made 92 competitive appearances for the club over four seasons.
