Chievo Coach Lorenzo D’Anna admits today’s match with Crotone will be ‘decisive’ for his side’s chances of staying in Serie A.

The Flying Donkeys have dropped into the relegation zone with only three matches remaining of the season, following a torrid second half of the campaign.

And D’Anna, who prepares to take charge of Chievo’s first team for the first time since his promotion from the Primavera side, knows the stakes in today’s crucial clash against their rivals for the drop.

“We know what is waiting for us,” D’Anna, who succeeded Rolando Maran after last weekend’s 4-1 loss at Roma, told a Press conference.

“Since the time the club called me, I have known how much this match means.

“It will be a decisive match, we know what awaits us and what we need to do.

“It will need organisation, spirit, sacrifice and character. Crotone, like us, are fighting for a crucial objective.

“In 90 minutes, everything will make the difference, even the fine details.”
