"We have already rejected an offer from Benfica," Santos official Pedro Luiz is quoted as saying.

"We don't intend to negotiate the sale of our best young players before January. Therefore Danilo will remain."

The Brazilian Under-20 international, full name Danilo Luiz Da Silva, moved to Santos last year after being brought up in the America MG youth ranks.

The talented teenager, who will turn 20 on July 15, is wanted by his present outfit for December's Club World Cup.
