The youngster has played just 15 minutes this season as he struggles with an ankle injury, but he’s confident about his future with the Rossoneri.

“I’m fine, I’m healing,” Cutrone assured on Radio 105.

“I don’t get down when I don’t play, but I get agitated when I don’t see the ball.

“This is still a dream, even if I haven’t achieved anything yet. I know that being here is just the starting point, but it’s something I’ve dreamed of since childhood.

“I’ve always believed in myself, and of course it helps to be training with a great club like Milan. I’ve been at Milan since I was eight.

“The moment I realised I could do it was when we were on tour in China, [Vincenzo] Montella had confidence in me and I repaid it against Bayern Munich.

“I didn’t yet know if I’d be staying or going, but when that happened I started thinking I could do it.

“As for Higuain, we all know what a striker he is. He’s a phenomenon. Being able to train with him helps me, and I’ll try to steal a few things from him.

“I’m building a good relationship with him, and I’m happy to have him in the squad. In training games we play against each other and it’s hard, very hard.”
