Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante thanked the fans for their support and stressed the Giallorossi ‘move ahead with a positive attitude’ before the match against CSKA Sofia.

Roma are second in Group C of the inaugural Conference League and are already through to the next phase, but Cristante wants a win and a possible first place in the group.

Cristante wants to go all the way in the UEFA Conference League and aims to finish in the top four of Italy with La Lupa.

“They are both difficult, but we know that they are targets within our reach,” Cristante told Sky Sport Italia. “Even if things have become more complicated now.

“The championship is still long, we are through in the Conference League, we will play until the end.”

Cristante admitted the Giallorossi must turn around a worrying trend, as they are currently on a run of four defeats in the last six league games.

“We go ahead with a positive attitude,” Cristante added. “The championship is still very long and from tomorrow we have to recover and play a good match.

“The same goes for Monday, in the league. The most important game is tomorrow.”

Cristante hailed the impact of the Roma fans and expects a difficult game against CSKA Sofia.

“They [the fans] have been fantastic from the start of the championship,” he said. “Even after the bad match against Inter.

“We just have to thank them and give our all. They are all difficult games, in Europe are all intense teams but we know that if we play our best, we will win.”

  1. Dear Cristante Roma fans are always loyal and remain loyal for ever. But you have humiliated and broken 💔 😢 our hearts.

  2. Please Cristante, just stop it … you are one the biggest reasons that our defense is so ineffective.
Instead of telling us to be patient, just tell to your beloved coach to leave, together with his two summer acquisitions.
