The draw for the last 16 of the competition takes place on Friday and the Russian club can be paired with Bayern Munich, Inter, Benfica, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal or Barcelona.

“We are all just waiting for the draw and we hope it goes well,” the Azzurri international told Sky Sport Italia.

“I personally hope to take on Inter so that I can once again play in an Italian football stadium,” he added.

“However, I don’t miss Italy and I’m happy with what I am doing here with Zenit St Petersburg.”

Criscito, 24, is a former Juventus player who moved to Zenit in the summer after Genoa reportedly accepted a €15m offer for him.
