Coach Sousa caused controversy last week when he said he was “no longer a dreamer, but a realist” since his first season in Florence.
“There has been too much talk about Sousa’s comments. Sousa, like everyone here, is a winner, he wants to win and in his statements he was just referring to this moment when the team is struggling to get results.
“Let’s not forget Italian is not his first language and there can be a misunderstanding at times. Paulo has this great culture and work ethic, we are satisfied with him, so we are working with Sousa for the present and the future.”
