Joaquin Correa is set to join Inter as the Nerazzurri have reportedly reached an agreement with Lazio.

Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports the two clubs have shaken hands on the player’s transfer fee.

The Argentinean will move to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Inter will pay €30m and Correa’s former clubs River Plate and Estudiantes, will share 5% of his transfer fee.

According to the same report, Correa will arrive in Milan today, with Inter currently organising his medical examinations in town.

Correa’s move to Inter means Andrea Belotti won’t join the Nerazzurri from Torino.

Correa, 27, joined Lazio from Sevilla in a €15m deal in 2018. He scored 30 goals in 117 appearances with the Biancocelesti, all under Simone Inzaghi, with whom he will reunite at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The Argentinean forward won one Coppa Italia and one Italian Supercup while in Rome.

  1. Adding Dzeko & Correa to Martinez and Sanchez; I think in the current market with that budget that’s absolutely stunning work from Marotta & Ausilio. One can stop moaning about losing one of the world’s be(a)st strikers regardless of their combined production; because being able to aim for the top places will always require a complete team effort. Fundamental will be Inter‘s defensive performances, as the real worry should be losing those crucial games where the offensive dept. is off. Hoping for an exciting season with suspense right till the end!

  2. In a way I’m glad for Torino since this keeps Belotti (one of my favorites in the league) with them, for now, though I wish the team would give him some support. Also would’ve preferred to have Correa remain at Lazio to keep them strong, but I respect Correa’s decision to stay in Serie A and reject the Premier League. Looking at these moves Inter has made post Lukaku-loss, I’m beginning to have doubts that AC Milan will usurp them, but maybe the next 37 more games will provide some fun.

  3. Makes no sense. Ortega has scored a total of 30 goals and Dzeko is 35.
Ams to replace Lukaku and Hakimi?
Belotti would have been a better choice.
