There were 323 coronavirus deaths reported in Italy on Wednesday as the country continues to see a drop in new cases.

Today’s death toll is 59 less than that of 24 hours ago, when Italy recorded 383 new fatalities.

Keeping with the trend, the numbers of those hospitalised with symptoms and admitted to intensive care have fallen again.

As of Wednesday, there have been 203,591 positive tests of COVID-19 (+2,086), with 104,657 of them currently active (-548).

A total of 71,252 people have recovered (+2,311) and 27,682 have died.

A total of 71,252 people have recovered (+2,311) and 27,682 have died.

Out of the 104,657 active cases, 83,652 are in self-isolation (+33), 19,210 are in hospital with symptoms (-513) and 1,795 are in intensive care (-68).

There have now been 1,910,761 tests, an increase of 63,627 since yesterday.
