There are now 29 people diagnosed with the highly-contagious disease in Italy, in the Lombardy and Veneto regions, with two having died.
They are a 78-year-old and a 67-year-old, based in Padova and Lombardy.
The Lega Nazionale Dilettanti announced that 40 amateur games have been postponed for this weekend.
So far, none of the Serie A, B or Lega Pro fixtures have been affected, but Lega Pro President Francesco Ghirelli confirmed “the situation is being constantly monitored. We are in collaborating closely with the authorities.”
