There were another 454 coronavirus deaths reported in Italy on Monday, but the number of active positive cases has dropped.

Although the death toll has risen at a faster rate than yesterday (454 compared to 433), there are now 20 less people with the virus.

Furthermore, the numbers of patients admitted to hospital and intensive care units have continued to fall.

As of Monday, there have been 181,228 positive tests of COVID-19 (+2,256), with 108,237 of them currently active (-20).

As of Monday, there have been 181,228 positive tests of COVID-19 (+2,256), with 108,237 of them currently active (-20).

A total of 48,877 people have recovered (+1,822) and 24,114 have died.

Out of the 108,237 active cases, 80,758 are in self-isolation (+169), 25,033 are in hospital with symptoms (-127) and 2,537 are in intensive care (-127).

There have now been 1,398,024 tests, an increase of 41,403 since yesterday.
