Eugenio Corini admits Palermo “felt the tension” in their 2-0 loss to Chievo, meaning they haven’t earned a single point at home.

The Rosanero have lost all eight matches at the Stadio Barbera this season and continued their run of nine consecutive Serie A defeats.

“We need to keep a clear head in a moment that is objectively difficult,” Corini told Rai Sport.

“We need to keep a clear head in a moment that is objectively difficult,” Corini told Rai Sport.

“We felt the tension at the start of the game and Chievo pounced on an error to take the lead. After the break we conceded a second and that made everything even tougher.

“It is important to give a sense of consistency to our work and there have been so many changes at Palermo, including many young players, that naturally it’s going to take a while to settle.

“The fact remains we are still not too far off the safety zone in terms of points and we have to change the inertia of the season. I tried to revitalise the Palermo fans and I thank them for their support, but I’m well aware we need to give the first signal of a turnaround.”
