“Since I came back I have said that we will be saved on the last day, this would be a season in which we suffer, and I still believe that,” Corini began in front of reporters today.
“Each week we have to give maximum effort, for me there must be more balance between the negative and positive moments.
“It is true that against Lazio we did not play a great game, but the other performances have been different – we have always fought.
“Surely we can do better, because what counts are the results. We have analysed the situations that we have fallen short in.
“I do not need to tell the fans what to do, I know I have a particular role, the criticism from the fans is fair and I understand that it is part of the fun.
“But when the players take to the field, I think they deserve the support of the people for the entire 90 minutes because they have always shown, beyond the results which have not always arrived, a great attachment to this shirt.
“The Catania game? The situation in the table is complex. We have to win to send out an important signal, because they are a direct competitor and as a result we are preparing, taking care of every detail.”
