“If I were the Giallorossi’s Coach, I’d be worried because Chievo are a healthy team,” Corini has commented this week to the Corriere dello Sport.
“In Florence we have demonstrated as much – there is still regret about how it ended, but the performance has been positive on the whole.”
Corini is back with the Gialloblu for a second stint as Coach, after first leaving at the end of last season.
“Why did I go first time around? The club is important and must always have the last word. But the Coach has a role of great responsibility and must be able to have a say too, he must be able to affect with his words.
“This is why at the end of the season, I preferred to distance myself. In November I returned aware of the difficulties that I would face.
“I believe, however, in this group and I am convinced that we will save ourselves. How many points will we need? We’ll see, definitely fewer than 40.”
