The midfielder was speculated as on his way out of the Sardinian outfit this summer, having publicly fallen out with outgoing owner Massimo Cellino.
However, in light of Giulini completing a takeover of the club, the 35-year-old’s future has been resolved positively.
“The first news is that Daniele Conti has renewed for another season,” new President Giulini told reporters gathered at his own presentation today, before turning over to Conti.
“I want to thank Cellino,” Conti commented first. “Even though we have clashed, we have always had respect.
“Was I afraid of leaving Cagliari? There was no fear, I have always given my best for this shirt.
“My thought has always been to stay in Sardinia until the end of my career.
“There is great feeling and motivation for the arrival of Zeman. He is a Coach I had [at Roma] as a youngster, I want to take away with him a lot of satisfaction.”
