Conte complained after the win over Albania that he did not see the right level of support from clubs or commitment from some players towards renovating Italy’s football.

Part of this complaint was based on failure to reach agreement with the clubs on a training camp during the new year.

“What I see are the needs of the clubs and the difficulties of the national team,” Pruzzo has stated in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb today.

“It's an old problem. But there are no novelties and I don't know if you can solve this kind of issue.

“The idea of an training camp with the national team is not doable.”

Pruzzo sounded even more disillusioned about the conditions of Serie A on the whole:

“There are no signs of things improving and foreigners are not as strong as they were in my time.

“When I used to play, they improved the quality of a team and they helped our own players.”
