The former Italy CT was dismissed by the Premier League side last week, with Maurizio Sarri coming in to replace him.

It was apparent for some time that he had no future at Stamford Bridge, but Conte took the first four days of pre-season training before being sacked.

That entitles him to €11m compensation for the final year of his contract, but it was reported that the English side were looking to argue just cause, insisting the former Juventus Coach had damaged the club by freezing out Diego Costa and criticising the board in public.

Now The Times is reporting that Conte will take legal action of his own, suing the club for lost earnings.

His lawyers will argue that the Blues have cost the Coach a year of his career, as it’s now too late to take one of Europe’s top jobs.

The Italy job was available this summer, while The Times believes Real Madrid approached the Italian about replacing Zinedine Zidane.

Conte’s lawyers will argue that he didn’t entertain those offers as he was committed to Chelsea, so by sacking him four days into pre-season they’ve cost him a year of potential earnings.
