Italian media are now so confident Antonio Conte has agreed to take over from Luciano Spalletti at Inter that it’s considered a done deal.

Multiple sources, from Sky Sport Italia to La Gazzetta dello Sport to La Repubblica and Sportitalia, all carry the same details of the agreement.

It’s at least a three-year contract, possibly more, worth €10m per season.

Even if Inter do not qualify for the Champions League, Conte is still going to keep his pledge to take the job.

Even if Inter do not qualify for the Champions League, Conte is still going to keep his pledge to take the job.

It means this weekend’s Serie A match with Empoli at San Siro will be Spalletti’s last on the Nerazzurri bench.

Conte had also been linked with a return to Juventus following Max Allegri’s departure, but all reliable sources now point to Inter and no other option.
