This line-up would see Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli and Leonardo Bonucci hold the backline, with Alessandro Florenzi, Riccardo Montolivo and Roberto Soriano take up the central midfielders' position ahead of them.

However Il Sole 24 Ore and Il Sussidiario both disagree, reporting that Conte will choose the 4-4-2.

Both sources believe that Andrea Bertolacci will start over Roberto Soriano.

Italy probable XI: Buffon; Chiellini, Bonucci, Barzagli; De Sciglio, Soriano, Montolivo, Florenzi, Darmian; Eder, Pelle.
