Antonio Conte has tested positive for COVID but is not expected to miss Tottenham’s next Premier League match against Brighton.

The 52-year-old Italian coach has been in isolation for a few days but is suffering from no symptoms and is in generally good health, Spurs report. Due to this, they hope that he’ll be available for the next game against the Seagulls on April 16, assuming that he remains symptomless.

Conte confirmed in an interview a few months ago that he was vaccinated for COVID and so that will help him recover quickly from the virus.

Tottenham have won their last four consecutive Premier League matches and they’re looking strong in the fight for 4th, hoping to beat out rivals Arsenal for the final Champions League spot.

Conte has done well to right the ship with Tottenham following their rocky start under previous coach Nuno Espirito Santo. The Italian coach has averaged 2.00 points per match from the 21 Premier League games overseen so far.
