Antonio Conte says he’s been ‘pleasantly surprised’ by his transformation from Coach to being Italy CT.
The former midfielder left Juventus last summer, before being appointed to lead the Azzurri to Euro 2016, and spoke to RaiSport ahead of tonight’s friendly with Portugal.
“I was pleasantly surprised by my transformation from Coach to CT,” Conte revealed.
“Of course, I needed a bit of time, but now I understand, and I’m calm.

“My nature is to always voice things and be transparent, sometimes I may have gone too far with that, and I was disappointed, as some of the things I’ve said may have created misunderstandings.”
