Italy Coach Antonio Conte speaks of his training session with Italy's Under-15s and says the Azzurri can't ‘disperse their identity’.

The three-time Scudetto-winning Coach held a training camp with some of Italy's youngest talents today as well as their technical staff.

The session was reportedly of a very high intensity, but the Coach stressed the importance of getting used to these rhythms.

“We take the best things from other models, but we do not disperse our identity,” said Conte, as reported by Vivo Azzurro.

“We are a people who turned sweat and sacrifice into their greatest strength.

“By the exercises that we taught today, we hope to pass on some suggestions to improve technique on the run, in situations very similar to those you get in real matches.

“We want to get players used to trying one-on-one scenarios again, a tendency that unfortunately is being lost.

“We want to train possession, giving and receiving the ball, occupying space. But the fundamental concept is that training is often not about metabolism.

“We hope to have clarified which exercises with the ball train the player from a physical point of view and which others are useful for other types of situations.”
