Subsequently, reports are now that Roma have turned their attention to Ivory Coast international Doumbia.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma and CSKA already have an agreement in principle to bring the 27-year-old to the Italian capital, but the player has not been persuaded yet.

To that end, Coach Rudi Garcia is reported to have phoned the player to coax him into joining the Lupi.
