Chelsea manager Antonio Conte insists “I am not worried” by the prospect of being sacked.

The former Juventus Coach has been linked with a return to the Italy CT job, and his future at Stamford Bridge appears to be very much in the balance.

Having criticised the club’s signing policy and publicly demanded a vote of confidence, Conte’s side were thrashed 4-1 by Watford last night.

That has put the Italian’s position in serious doubt, but in his Press conference last night he didn’t seem overly concerned.

Having criticised the club’s signing policy and publicly demanded a vote of confidence, Conte’s side were thrashed 4-1 by Watford last night.

That has put the Italian’s position in serious doubt, but in his Press conference last night he didn’t seem overly concerned.

“I am not worried,” Conte said.

“I am not worried about my job. I work every day, and give 120 per cent. If this is enough, it is OK. Otherwise, the club can take a different decision.

“It is very difficult because, every day and every press conference, you ask me if I am worried. No. I am not worried.

“Tomorrow is another day. I can be the Chelsea coach or not. Which is the problem? My soul is clear. I go to sleep without a problem.

“I try to do everything. If it is not good, the club can make a different decision. Life goes on.

“Have I lost the dressing room? In my life when I was a player, I was captain of Juventus and never, ever did I speak about a coach with my club.

“And if the club tried to ask me, this is not my problem.”
