The 45-year-old was confirmed last week as the Azzurri’s new CT, to replace Cesare Prandelli following his resignation in the summer after the disastrous World Cup in Brazil.

Whilst this news was official last week, the Italian Football Federation have today released a further statement to confirm that final details to Conte’s agreement with newly-elected President Carlo Tavecchio’s have been reached, as well as when exactly the former Juventus” data-scaytid=”8″>Juventus boss will be presented to the media.

“President Tavecchio and Antonio Conte spoke directly by phone this morning to define the final aspects of the agreement that will commit Antonio Conte to the FIGC until July 31, 2016, to conclude negotiations conducted in recent days by Giulia Mancini for Antonio Conte and lawyer Mario Gallavotti for the FIGC,” reads the Federation’s release this morning.

“The new CT has shared with President Tavecchio the project to revitalise the national team and the project of training new Azzurri players through the Federation’s training centres, with a strong commitment from the CT within the technical sector also as the coordinator of the youth teams, a position previously covered by Arrigo Sacchi.

“The contract between the FIGC and Antonio Conte provides payment in line with the cost of the previous management, with a bonus for qualifying for Euro 2016, an added bonus in the case of improvement in the FIFA World Rankings by at least five positions, and a third bonus in the case of reaching the final of Euro 2016.

“At the same time, the FIGC have defined the terms of a new partnership with some of their commercial sponsors, with very innovative terms for the internationalisation of the FIGC brand and the enhancement of the national team, which also includes the use of the image of the new CT as its face, thereby making possible the entire operation.

“The Press conference for the presentation of the new CT is scheduled for tomorrow at 11.30am [10.30am UK time] at the hotel Parco dei Principi in Rome.”

Conte’s total earnings are seen as over €4m-a-year, with national team sponsors Puma footing a majority of the bill in exchange for the tactician’s image rights.
