As a further course of action, Milan have announced that their squad will be in ‘ritiro’ from Tuesday until further notice, with Gazzetta dello Sport reporting the decision was made by Massimiliano Mirabelli and Marco Fassone.

A ‘ritiro’ is essentially a punitive training camp, in which the players stay together before and after training, in an effort to focus their minds.

Next up for Gennaro Gattuso’s side is a Serie A clash with Atalanta on Saturday.
