As expected, Nigel de Jong has joined MLS side LA Galaxy, after leaving Milan.

The Dutch midfielder terminated his contract with the Rossoneri on deadline in order to complete his move to the US, and today the signing has been made official.

“The LA Galaxy have acquired Dutch midfielder Nigel de Jong using Targeted Allocation Money,” the American side confirmed.

As expected, Nigel de Jong has joined MLS side LA Galaxy, after leaving Milan.

“De Jong, a two-time FIFA World Cup veteran, joins after most recently featuring for Manchester City and A.C. Milan.”

Galaxy Coach Bruce Arena also spoke to the website to welcome the former Manchester City man to the squad.

“Nigel is an experienced midfielder who will help the players around him get better.

“He will add qualities on the field that can strengthen our team in all areas. We look forward to Nigel coming to Los Angeles and joining our club.”
