After progressing through the Europa Conference League play-offs, Lazio and Fiorentina have discovered their Round of 16 opponents, AZ Alkmaar and Sivasspor respectively.
The Biancocelesti were relegated to the Conference League after finishing second in a Europa League group containing Feyenoord, FC Midtjylland and Sturm Graz. They secured a relatively uninspiring 1-0 aggregate win over CFR Cluj in their play-off clash, seeing them progress to the next stage.
Fiorentina finished second in their Conference League group, just behind Istanbul Basaksehir on goal difference. In their play-off tie, Vincenzo Italiano’s side fought hard to secure a 7-2 aggregate win over Braga, taking them to the next round of the competition.
Lazio’s first clash with AZ Alkmaar is scheduled for March 7 at 17.45 UK time at the Stadio Olimpico, with the return leg coming on March 16 at 20.00 in the Netherlands.
Fiorentina also play their first Round of 16 outing at home, hosting Sivasspor on March 7 at 17.45 in Florence. The second leg will kick off on March 16 at 20.00 in Turkey.
