Cesc Fabregas’ Como have reportedly sent in an offer to MLS side St Louis City for talented forward Nicholas Gioacchini.
Como have emerged as one of the more exciting projects in Serie B in recent years, having a strong contingent of recognisable faces from across football including club president Dennis Wise and investor Thierry Henry.
Fabregas spent the final season of his playing career with Como before moving into a coaching role. He started out as the Primavera coach but took over the first-team in November, winning three of his five games in charge before stepping back to complete his UEFA Pro License.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Como have sent an offer to St Louis City for Gioacchini, who has already agreed terms with the Serie B side. Talks between the two sides are ongoing and an update is expected in the coming days.
The 23-year-old American forward, who was also eligible to play for Italy and spent four years of his childhood in Parma, scored 10 goals and provided one assist in 32 league matches for St Louis City in their debut MLS season.
