Jordan Henderson has offered his services to Juventus as he pushes for a move away from Saudi Arabia and the club are now planning out a possible deal.

The 33-year-old English midfielder controversially joined Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq in the summer transfer window, penning a lucrative four-year contract worth up to €40m net per season. Considering his history of supporting social issues, his move was widely reviled by fans.

After six months, Henderson has grown unhappy of life with Al-Ettifaq and is now pushing to return to Europe this month. Due to complicated tax issues, a return to the Premier League seems unlikely for the time being, pushing him to consider options across Europe.

Page nine of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Juventus have been offered an 18-month loan by Henderson’s entourage and the club are now considering the terms of a possible deal.

Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli is thinking of offering a salary of around €1.5m net and would like to insert an early termination clause in the 18-month loan, active at the end of this season.

Ajax are also interested in picking up the 33-year-old Englishman, who has provided five assists in 19 games for Al-Ettifaq this season. Things have not been easy for Gerrard’s side this term, having won just once in their last 12 league games.
