Rocco Commisso insists he never offered Daniele De Rossi the Fiorentina job: ‘I didn’t like what they said.’
The Roma legend had been linked with coaching Fiorentina back in the summer.
“We trusted [Giuseppe] Iachini, we never spoke with anyone else,” Commisso told Lady Radio.
“So many names came out while we were fighting for survival. I didn’t like what was said about [Daniele] De Rossi, who I never met.

“So many names came out while we were fighting for survival. I didn’t like what was said about [Daniele] De Rossi, who I never met.
“I have a philosophy, which is that of meritocracy. Iachini was on average with the results of Fiorentina in the last 20 years.”
Iachini was sacked ten days ago with Cesare Prandelli who came in as a replacement.
“He is in love with this city, he is really happy to be here and we are happy to have him,” Commisso continued.
“He will make us have a lot of fun. He knows what we want, he’s been working with the team for a few days, now other players will return from their national team duties and he will work with the whole group.”
