Scottish referee Willie Collum will officiate the Champions League tie between Shakhtar Donetsk and Roma.

The first leg in the Round of 16 kicks off on Wednesday at 19.45 GMT at the Metalist Stadion in Kharkhiv.

UEFA announced that they had assigned Collum to the game.

He will be aided by assistant referees David McGeachie and Francis Connor, additional assistant referees Bobby Meaden and John Beaten, while Douglas Potter is the fourth official.

The 39-year-old Glasgwegian hasn’t been involved in a Roma match since their 1-1 draw away to CFR Cluj in the Champions League group phase in December 2010.
