Ashley Cole is expected in Italy for his Roma medical tomorrow morning, where he’ll sign a two-year contract.

The 33-year-old full-back is a free agent after his contract with Chelsea was allowed to expire.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Cole has already booked his flight and will land at Rome’s Fiumicino airport on Monday at 10.00 local time (09.00 in the UK).

The Giallorossi are extremely busy, as 20-year-old Fenerbahce starlet Salih Ucan spoke to reporters at the airport when he was leaving for Rome today.

However, agent Jonathan Barnett told BBC Sport that it was too early to say the move was basically complete.

“Nothing has been done yet and we are taking our time. Several clubs are interested but at the moment we are just talking to clubs based abroad.”
