Salernitana coach Stefano Colantuono blames his players after a 2-0 loss against Sampdoria: ‘We ruined the game in three minutes.’

The Serie A strugglers suffered a 2-0 defeat at the Stadio Arechi. Their third loss in a row.

“We ruined a balanced game in three minutes,” Colantuono told DAZN.

“We were a bit unlucky on the first goal, but we should have avoided the second one. The reaction was good, we wanted a comeback. The task becomes harder if you don’t score goals.”

Ribery suffered a slight injury and was replaced in the second half, while Simy has only scored one goal in 13 appearances this season. The former Crotone striker came on as a substitute with 25 minutes remaining against Samp.

“Simy has always played as a centre forward, like at Crotone,” Colantuono explained.

“He is not at his best, but he remains an important player for us. Today he started on the bench, but we’ll need him in the next games.

“Ribery has been dealing with a small physical problem for some time, but I think the injury is not serious. We’ll find out in the next few days.”
