“We know it’s been a tough draw and we realise we face a tall task to qualify for the Champions League. It will be a huge challenge to play against AC Milan.

“It will be a great duel and it gives us a chance to compare ourselves to a great team. I am looking forward to it.

“They are busy reshaping their squad for the next season, but I am sure several quality players will line up.

“Our target is to make sure we qualify for the Champions League. We will go for it. If you don’t believe in your chances, you might as well stay at home.”

Stephan El Shaarawy also tweeted his reaction to the draw. “PSV… very difficult challenge, but we are Milan. Respect for everyone, fear of no-one.”
