Schalke 04 Coach Andre Breitenreiter “will oppose” the sale of Julian Draxler to Juventus target Julian Draxler.

Negotiations for the creative midfielder are hitting a brick wall and the Bianconeri are ready to look elsewhere.

“Julian is still with us and I don’t want him to go,” Breitenreiter told German paper Bild.

“I want to hear that he is 100 per cent staying. If a new offer comes in, then I will oppose his sale. No club is authorised to speak with the player any more.

“If the club were to receive an offer we can’t refuse, then I don’t know what would happen.”

Schalke had given Juventus permission to speak to Draxler, but withdrew it this week after the initial written offer of €15m plus bonuses was rejected.

The player agreed personal terms for a four-year contract worth €3.5m per season.

Juve are expected to raise their bid to Schalke, but it’s still a long way off the €30m asking price.
