The Rossoneri have made it clear they want to bring SuperMario back to Serie A after his struggles to settle with Roberto Mancini’s side.
According to the Italian newspapers this morning, Manchester City have set the price-tag at somewhere between €35m and €40m for a January move (between £28m and £32m) – altogether too much for President Silvio Berlusconi.
The only way to raise funds would be to sell Robinho to a Brazilian side for €12m, as he has offers from Santos, Cruzeiro, Atletico Mineiro and Flamengo.
With this in mind, La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests Milan are changing tack and have contacted the agent of PSG trequartista Pastore.
The former Palermo star has been deeply disappointing in Paris and heavily linked with a January switch to Inter.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport claims general manager Adriano Galliani met with agent Marcelo Simonian two days ago to discuss the possibility of taking Pastore on loan in January to help him regain his form.
