Michael Ciani has conceded that this coming season could be his last with Lazio.

The central defender has been with the capital club for two years, but with his contract set to expire next summer, the 30-year-old has admitted that he will have to assess his options soon.

“I have a contract with Lazio for another year,” he told Colore Sport. “Then anything could happen.

“I will be patient and then see what happens.”

The France international then commented on Les Bleus’ World Cup so far, and Italy’s early exit.

“I think [Coach Didier] Deschamps has been able to motivate the players and create a cohesive group.

“I’m still on holiday, but I have watched a lot of the matches. Despite being outside of Italy, I can still understand how disappointed everyone in the country is with their performances.”
